Flat Shank Needles for Domestic Sewing

These needles have a flat side ground on the shank to assure proper alignment with the point of the hook. (Intended only for machines designed for Flat Shank needles.)  The Organ standard needle has a slightly larger eye than other manufacturers for the same diameter needle.

Tips

1)   Using the smallest needle possible often results in the fewest thread and needle breaks.

2)   Ball Point needles (BP) nudge the fibers of the fabric aside rather than cutting them as sharp points do.

3)   While Sharp needles can cause holes in knits and loosely woven fabrics, they are a good choice for heavy or tightly woven fabrics or for stitching detail on top of fills.
