Chrome needles have
been the industry standard for most sewing and embroidery applications.
PD (Perfect
Durability) needles have a titanium-nitride ceramic finish which makes them more
durable than chrome needles. PD needles maintain their original shape and
dimensions three to five times longer than Chrome needles when embroidering large or
very abrasive designs, or through dense and tough materials.
CS Cool-Sew Needles
– Less thread breakage, less sticking, and less downtime. The Cool-Sew finish
on the needle surfaces and in the needle’s eye is resistant to sticking. Its
finish has a very low friction coefficient, which prevents excessive heat
buildup and resulting problems. Few, if any materials adhere to the surfaces of
Cool-Sew needles. Cool-Sew needles are ideal for stitching through Vinyl,
synthetics, chemically treated materials, glued materials, rubberized goods,
nylon, foam, dense materials, and with synthetic threads. Used under the
proper conditions as described above, one can expect neater stitches, reduced
thread breaks, less puckered stitches, less downtime, fewer defects, and
increased productivity.
